CMJ Music Marathon Festival
It’s a convention and music festival in one! Known for showcasing established and underground artists, as well as providing music seminars and panels; the CMJ Music Marathon is an entertaining and enriching experience.
Their shows are located in Manhattan and Brooklyn giving them some street cred. But as cool as this event is, it does have it’s downside. Tickets are pretty expensive – like $499 plus a $16 service fee, expensive! This will give you unlimited access to a ton of concerts, parties and events. Pricey? Yes – but totally worth it to see some really talented and awesome artists.
If you have a student id you’re in luck! People with a valid student id will receive a 50% ($249) discount and/or a special student group rate. For anyone else who isn’t a student and doesn’t want to throw down crazy cash, you can by a show pass. These passes only include showcases.
